The Selva di Fasano

The Selva di Fasano is a fraction of the Municipality of Fasano, about 8 km from the center. The natural altitude of the Selva di Fasano is around 420 meters above sea level, the highest altitude in the province of Brindisi.

From the top of its hills, covered with natural flora, consisting, in the wooded part, of oaks, holm oaks, pines, chestnuts, cypresses, as well as firs, olive trees, fig trees, carob trees, and walnut, safeguarded by a climate temperate, and with a particularly healthy air, the Selva di Fasano overlooks the territory of the trulli and caves, offering numerous panoramic and quiet views to those who want to walk the tree-lined avenues on foot.

In the winter season, as happens throughout the area, rainfall can take on a snowy character, which whitens the surface of the numerous trulli and tall trees.
